Legal Protection of the Sinking Islands Refugees

This book is an important contribution to the development of the concept of hybrid international law, focusing on protecting the Pacific population from climate change. As a researcher, I have studied the impact of these changes on the most vulnerable and developed legal solutions. My work in this field has been recognized and has contributed to the development of international policies.

Addressing Loss And Damage In the Context of Social Vulnerability and Resilience

In the context of climate change, vulnerability is defined as the degree to which a system is susceptible to adverse effects, while resilience refers to the system’s ability to maintain its core functions during periods of shocks and disruptions, with efforts focused on addressing losses and damages, particularly through the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge.

Loss and Damage Livelihood Resilience

Climate Change and Loss and Damage have become a key challenge of the 21st century. This Policy Brief begins by defining the challenge and introducing the Resilience Academy, highlighting 5 key ideas that fuel the debate and guide action. Finally, it offers 5 recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism (WIM ExCom) for its 5-year work plan.

Social Vulnerability and Adaptation in Fragile States

Fragile states are now defined as having a general inability to provide services, and in the context of climate change, vulnerability is linked to the system’s sensitivity and adaptive capacity to these changes, involving social risks and transforming chronic disasters into sudden-onset disasters. This represents a challenge for researchers in assessing the impact and the need for specific policies at the local level.

Legal Protection of the Sinking Islands Refugees

Addressing Loss And Damage In the Context of Social Vulnerability and Resilience

Loss and Damage Livelihood Resilience

Social Vulnerability and Adaptation in Fragile States
